Q. Are Spouse or non-jumpers allowed to attend?
 
A. Yes, absolutely. In fact, much of the event is focused around major sightseeing and tourist opportunities. Additionally, the Israeli Army is very accommodating in that they will allow a spouse to be a spectator at both the Airborne refresher class (Tel Nof Airbase) and in covered tents on the drop zone for the Freedom Jump itself.
 

Q. Do I have to be Military Airborne qualified to jump?

A. Yes, you have to be military qualified and provide supporting documentation to jump in the military portion of the event.


Q. Do I need a tourist visa to travel to Israel?

A. Most of the time, no. If you are a passport holder of one of the following countries you do not require a tourist visa to travel to Israel:

Q. What is included and not included in the package?

A. For the most part, the tour includes many of your meals, all transportation, all site entrance fees and the jump.

What is not included is as follows:

 1. Plane Ticket, Airport Taxes and meals on travel days
 2. Personal insurances (cancellation & return to the country of origin)
 3. Tips for guides & drivers (About $6 US per day to be taken in consideration)
 4. Personal extra expenses (drinks, telephones etc.)

What is included is as follows:

 1. Transfers and assistance: Airport/Hotels/Tours/Military base
 2. Luxurious air-conditioned buses
 3. Experienced guides French and English, authorized by the Ministry of Tourism. (Note: we usually have an Italian translator as well)
 4. Entrances in all the religious and historic sites mentioned in the program
 5. “Freedom Jump” event
 6. Lunches and diners mentioned in the program except on days of arrival and return


Q. What are the technical details of the military jump?

A. For static line, you will jump from an altitude of 400 Meters, (1300 Ft) there are limited places for qualified military free fall jumpers at 3000 meters (10500 feet). For both jumps, the aircraft will be a IDF Air Force C-130 HERCULES. The static line parachute will be the T10 or an MC1 and helmets are provided at the Airborne School.

Note, each Jumper is kindly requested to provide at arrival:

 1. Airborne License/Certificate
 2. Medical Certificate
 3. Passport photocopy
 4. Number of jumps/Jump Logbook
 5. Official uniform from you association and or airborne unit is requested for the ceremony, special visits and Gala Dinner
